I don't like this idea one bit but I don't put it past DC Comics to make a totally dickish move like this. Harley is a great, breakout character that can be used in a variety of ways to tell interesting stories. She's like the Joker, only lighter, much lighter. Of course my one true favorite version is from the animated Batman cartoons but I like her comic book appearances as well. Killing her off is not something that serves the DC Universe other than the temporary shock value. Wasn't the death of Damian Wayne (Robin) enough to satisfy that company's bloodlust? Once again DC proves why they have gone off the rail and remained there. Not a single brain amongst the lot of them. So I guess now it's goodbye, Harley. We hardly knew ya.

The Death Of Harley Quinn??

The real surpsie about this is that it is a tactic DC used to reserve for big heroes with faltering sales/popularity. This is why they used the call in idea for Superman and Jason Todd robin. But honestly I have not heard much hate of Harley Quinn like I have Superman, or Robin. Probably why they wouldn't have a social media campaign to vote her dead or alive. DC has truly fallen from grace after this whole new 52 BS.
It's an abomination. They have no idea what to do beyond the pretty splash pages. That's what you get for hiring a Jim Lee. He's a good artist but not a good story teller.
How often has a comic book character died and not eventually come back, though?
They used to say only Uncle Ben and Bucky Barnes cannot come back to life because they are so integral to the history of Spider-Man and Captain America. But the WAY they brought back Bucky as the Winter Soldier was brilliant.
