Unknown said...: I still can't bring myself to watch the Dune movie and subsequent miniseries. One of the first (and still best) SF novels that I read was God Emperor of Dune when I was 15. I still have the original hardcover book that I bought, sitting proudly on my bookshelf with Heretics and Chapterhouse.. It, and the rest of the six core books were so vividly told, I feel that I've already seen the best movie that could have been made from those glorious tales. It's about time that I re-read these again, it's been a good 20 years or so.; November 10, 2013 at 1:04 AM
Kal said...: I hear ya. I love those books too but it was the David Lynch movie that brought me to them. That movie blew my mind. I really like the stuff that SyFy did to tell the first three books. They did it very well. The actors they chose for the characters are amazing. I hope you will watch them one day as an homage to something that was once thought unfilmable.; November 10, 2013 at 9:24 AM
