Mission Impossible Toys

I was doing some toy research today and I found out about these Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) action figures by Tradewinds Toys, one of the smaller toymakers. I like these because they have masks and other neat accessories and we all know that I am ALL about he masks and the accessories. I am hoping to get the set of five at the same time, like the EBay auctions of old.

I love these! I have a few of each of the three basic sets (Fireman, Spy Senator, and Pointman. They had really cool accessories for the time. I think there were variants of each as well that had minor differences in the accessories. I might try to review them sometime soon on my site.

Good times! Me, my cousin, and two of my friends used to play with these right before our Freshmen year of high school! We'd make up spy missions for each other and then equip our guys with tons of these and older G.I. Joe and Rambo accessories to show how we would tackle things!

I had no idea they existed but I like the look of them. For the time they are pretty well done. In 1996 everything was Ninja Turtles and Ghostbusters.

I received a set of these for Christmas in 1996. I was a big fan of the Mission: Impossible film. What's odd is that they kind of look like he renders from the video game that was released on Nintendo 64 eventually in late summer of 1998, although that game was in development for years..
