THe climb ojut of the depresson is argued to have taken longer becasue of the policies of FDR (its a valif argumnet in ficitonal reaity discussions) . The U.S. wasnkt so week it couldn't have defended itslef if there had been political will to do so..
I find it more likely a wo5rld changed by the early assassination to lead to a political situatiom where the Japanses wouldn't hae felt the need to attack the U.S. fleet and we would allow the world to tumble arround us to impeialsit war while the government shifted to the favor of the rising empires.; March 20, 2015 at 5:33 AM
