I see this trailer and I am a believer. This looks like the same kind of Fantastic Four that I have loved for decades in the comic books despite the obvious difference in the KIND of brother and sister that Sue and Johnny storm are. All the relationships seem correct as do the effects. Dropping the Thing out of the plane is amazing to see live.

This Fantastic Four feels way more like the Ultimate Universe take on Marvel's First Family than the mainstream (616) universe.
Still unsure how they're playing Doom in this one, which will be a key factor in the film's success or failure.
Also I'm intrigued to discover the story reason for why Sue and Johnny couldn't be blood relatives. It just feels like an unnecessary piece of tampering with the mythology.
Why did Sue need to be adopted? Surely there are many brilliant African-American women who could have played Sue? I'm hoping though that Sue isn't Caucasian purely because some suit at Fox couldn't truck the idea of Reed having a relationship with a person of colour!!!
I am still not being drawn into it, I have hopes it might...
