Oh Yeh, That's The Good Stuff

Prince, Tom Petty, Steve Winwood, Jeff Lynne and others perform "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" at the 2004 Hall of Fame Inductions.

This is pretty awesome. I love seeing Jeff Lynne up there. ELO was the best back in my day. It's appropriate that John Lennon once said that ELO is the exact group that the Beatles would have evolved into if they had stayed together. High praise. And give it up for Prince who just shreds this tune away from everyone.

Lennon said that? Really? He was probably joking. If The Beatles were destined to turn into the pompous, stodgy and charisma-free ELO ( whose only decent song was Mr. Blue Sky, let's face it )it's probably just as well they split when they did...

You really challenged me on the music and you ARE the music guy. I just remember loving ELO so much as a teen. Supertramp was the same kind of creative big stadium music. I would love to spend an afternoon at the pub talking music...with examples to boost our arguments. I still want to dance everytime I hear ALL OVER THE WORLD by ELO. Honest, Lennon said that.
