Watchmen Posters

From Dave Porollo's Montygogs Art-o-rama comes these awesome Watchmen posters. I love the old 50s atomic art look that they have. This week is the movie's premiere and I so hope I am not over hyping it in my mind. I so want to enjoy this movie just to hear my non-comic reading friends rant about it. I saw AT THE MOVIES tonight and both critics gave the movie a great review. Life is good bitches. Here are some examples of the reviews so far. Feel free to giggle and squeel like a schoolgirl.

"this kind of film hasn't been done before, it has no clear "right" or "wrong," that, even in current Batman movies, still is very well-defined...on every level it will demand your attention and intelligence as it entertains.."

"This is a lavishly shot super-production that is as faithful as any true believer of Alan Moore's original could hope to see...lf you're looking for a pure comic book movie, with pure goodies and baddies and the usual ending, you will not get it. If you're looking for complex, completely realistic characters, you won't quite get that either, but you'll be far closer to the mark. The film really succeeds in its broad, epic strokes."

"It's a long film filled with incident and adventure, and seems destined to be a classic of the ilk of Bladerunner, so rich it is with detail, and anti-establishment plotting, character and resolution. For this bravery though, it may risk disappointing a world bred and raised for easily digestible fare. Let's cross our fingers for the film that it finds an audience willing to accept something quite different and challenging, rather than confused by a blockbuster that doesn't act like a blockbuster at all."

"...95 percent of the words and ideas in this movie are all Moore. Has there ever been a movie adaptation of a comic book this close to its source material?
Watchmen is a superhero film like you're never seen before. It's a disturbing portrait of an all-too-possible America, where heroes are as tainted as the villains they're chasing...."

"It's the Watchmen movie you always wanted to see but never expected to get."
