Props To Big Daddy

Yesterday for the second time I was thanked for the 'review' of a movie that I had done by the studios that released them. I feel so grown up and big time. I will watch most anything I find interesting based on the trailers I have seen or mention of them in magazine's like Entertainment Weekly. I found out about 'Black Dynamite' and 'Red Cliff' this way. I did not actively seek out these lesser known films because I thought they needed more promotion. They looked interesting to me, I enjoyed both very much, so I wanted others to discover them too.

My whole blog philosophy is based on sharing what I think is cool or uncool. Examples of both are found all over the web and, if anything, I have trouble NOT sharing my opinion on something that has caught my eye. If its an image, I goof on the subject matter. If is a whole set of interesting visuals I collect them to share under the heading 'From the Files of the Cave of Coolness'. It's why I am so prolific with my postings. I just can't let something go because then I might never get back to it. I express my feelings in that moment and then move on. It seems to be a successful formula for me and matches perfectly with my hummingbird-like/crack addled mind.

Now if only I can get some of that sweet movie industry swag sent my way. But would that spoil the purity of my obviously valuable opinions? Will I eventually 'go Hollywood' and just be another shill, pimping themselves out to the evil entertainment corporations? Never fear gentle readers. I hates me some corporations with the white hot intensity of an exploding star. All corporate culture is just another example of the Umbrella Corporation to me and you know how much I hates me that stinkin' Umbrella Corporation - you go get 'em Alice.
