If You Know What This Is

Then you are my people. One of the saddest loses I ever experienced when when a box from my room was lost when we returned from living in Europe. Not only did I lose all of my childhood comic book and action figure collection, I also lost my collection of these which was substantial.

I had these on all subject and bought many from my travels. And you ask me why I work on my time machine daily. I know exactly where I will go once that project is complete.

The true joy of pushing down that plastic button and - schhholllot - the new image pops up. I still have mine it's in my sister's basement all tucked up nice and safe.

I will go and find it and spin again.

My two favourites were the Star Trek one (pictures from the Omega Glory) and Planet of the Apes (pictures from one of the TV episodes).

I never figured out how they made the pictures look 3D.

Loved them, and still have my little red viewer with "Joey" written on it. Somewhere. And a bunch of reels. Good times.

I still have mine. My favorite was the one from our trip to Disneyland. My viewer is red too!

I think it would be perfect if you could make a flash drive look like one of those.

When I was a kid in the 50s, Viewmasters were in every home. Took you to Disneyland when you couldn't go in person.

Like most people here I used to have a Viewmaster, with various different reels, but of course it's long gone now. I used to have images from the Max Fleischer Superman on one - they were awesome!

Mine was black, heavy, smooth and lit up! I had the Addams Family and Lost in Space. Also Charlie Brown with 3d models. So much fun!
