My mum's husband is lactose intolerant but he still eats toasted cheese sandwhiches and chocolate cake. Which is kind of why I forget he has it. P.S this is formerly Miss Mulligrubs I made a new account to cut down on all the blogs I was reading and to start my boring blog.

Welcome back. I am glad you still read me. Never put down your own blog. Following your vision is always admirable.

I've found that if you use whole wheat bread, your sugar doesn't spike as quickly. It has the same amount of carbs, but they digest more slowly, and keeps the sugar from hitting the ceiling.

i use whole-wheat bread & NO butter- try a little garlic powder to spice things up

you can make these with brown bread and vegetable cheese, Kal! You would get a delicious taste without feeling guilty that you ate something unhealthy.

Yep whole-grain is the way to go, my kids call it dirt bread because of the gritty feel. I think maybe a new kind of cheese too swiss or a provolone, make it a new meal you like not a I have to eat this and I liked it better before. So change up the taste.
