Happy Birthday Sergei Mikhailovich Eisenstein (23 January 1898 – 11 February 1948)

You crazy Russian silent filmmaking bastard. If you can tell me which movie this famous baby carriage scene is from then you are REALLY my people.

Battleship Potemkin? Or something like that. I think I saw it once a gazillion years ago.

You nailed it on your first try. Now that is a movie fan. Did you take film class in University or something?

Also ripped-off, sorry "homaged", by Brian De Palma in The Untouchables...

You know your movies, Sir.

Well, it's more fun than having a life ;-)

Having a life is SO overrated.

It was "homaged" even better in Terry Gilliam's BRAZIL.

Every editor and director should study this scene.

No, I didn't do film studies in university. But I practically lived at the art cinema theatre in Winnipeg when I was a student. Foreign films and popcorn every weekend. Then I graduated, had to go work for a living and my whole life went to hell, LOL.

I spent many nights at the Princess Theatre in Edmonton.
