The Internet Killed The Video Star

Oh and I know how Sherlock faked his death. Really quite...elementary.

I demand to know how. I'm assuming Molly had something to do with it.

He did the jump but landed in the garbage truck on the street. He had no time for anything else. Everything depended on Watson being distracted for 30 seconds so Holmes can exit the garbage truck and using what Molly prepared for him, covered his head in blood and dropped to the sidewalk. Then the revoval guys come in and bing bang boom, Sherlock Holmes is dead but still looking like he always had. I hope they explain how such a popular local character could be outside without anyone recognizing him.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: that cyclist who slams into Watson, knocking him down and collapsing on top of him, was absolutely crucial to Holmes' plan. That's what kept Watson from seeing whatever switch was made.

(I know I'm supposed to call them "John" and "Sherlock" but I've been reading Conan Doyle for thirty years; I just can't.)

It was crucial to insure that Watson not actually see Holmes hits the ground. He would have to fill in the details in his mind seeing only the beginning or the end of the whole 'death'.

And there could be residue from the Baskerville event or something Mycroft engineered.

The whole plan couldn't have gotten done without Mycroft. He put all the pieces in place. All Holmes had to do was jump and that perfect time.
