The Slide Top Discovery Box is a smaller version of the Discovery Box for those needing a more portable collection box. This box is constructed of pine and birch wood and has a smooth varnish finish. The dimensions are approximately 8" long x 10" wide x 4" tall. The top slides out to access the contents and can be completely removed. The box is made in the USA.
A starter set of collectible items is included. The set includes 30 items of different varieties of rocks, fossils, shells and insect. The starter set in the photo is a close representation but may not be the exact set you receive. Additional collectibles are available in the catalog.
Also included with the Discovery Box is an Information Guide that describes the natural items with photos, descriptions and "fun facts". In addition, an Activity Guide gives adults ideas on fun Discovery Box activities for kids.
