TV Times

The Following - the story of a serial killer cult is freaky enough but to have detective Kevin Bacon three step behind head psycho James Purefoy is very frustrating. I do have hopes that the cult punks will kill each other in the end and save Bacon the trouble. Love triangles never end well in these kind of shows. I like to think of this one as the anti-'24'. The tech in this one is believable as are the bureaucratic roadblocks that constantly get put in Bacon's way. Plus they won't give Bacon a gun and he drinks vodka straight from the bottled water bottle. It's all very twisted and sad and brutal and over the top but I can't look away.

A brilliant and charismatic, yet psychotic serial killer communicates with other active serial killers and activates a cult of believers following his every command.

I love the show. James is brilliant as always. Bacon is convincing as an aclchie ex-cop/fed
and the supporting cast has the usual suspects...like on the Closer or Major Crimes or SVU.
But this take on the HANNIBAL series mixed in with the SEVEN factor along with elements of just about any Patterson murder mystery has just the right blend of surprise, suspense and predictability.
I'm gonna stick around and see what happens

I just feel that every other character is against Kevin Bacon...even the ones he is working with. It's gonna get a lot uglier before it gets pretty.
