Daredevil is not a show for the faint of heart. Once again a brutal confrontation begins the whole adventure - another mission dripped in blood, which is a motif around the entire program. I think being forced to put out an entire first season at once makes the writers re-think all of their story choices - something more creative people should do these days. So far everything is like the best live action Daredevil comic I can imagine. There is time to soak oneself in the gritty world of Hell's Kitchen and feel the loves and pains of all the characters.
Love the introduction of reporter Ben Urich. He plays such a large role in the best Daredevil stories. His pursuit of the truth further blurs the lines between what is right and wrong - another heavily used theme in Daredevil's world. What he knows and what he can report on is always a struggle for him. He's the last ethical reporter in a city of opportunists.
