It took a crisis of global proportions to show how out of wack the entire system is. It's frustrating to see how much abuse the majority of people on this continent have to live under. Funny how those who can't get a living wage or decent health care or daycare or sick leave are the one holding the front lines against this virus. They stock the shelves where people get their food and other essentials of life - grocery store workers, cleaners, fast food workers, truckers, teachers, daycare operators, and so many others whose vital contributions are all that are keeping us from falling into the abyss might finally get their due...until the crisis ends and they go back to being exploited without the FREE HEATH CARE that should be their REWARD for doing what was the right thing to do in saving us all from our own mismanagement and hubris. Let's start with that. Afterwards we can look into what we can do to reduce the income inequality between the top 1% and the rest of us to something a little more balance and fair. Stop putting money into wars and spend more on mental health treatment which also includes a major restructuring of the ways pharma company's set drug prices, especially vital drugs like insulin. Hell I could write a whole PART 2 to this essay off the top of my head. But who ever listens to me? Future historians, that's who, when they read all these rants I have left behind.

Very, very true, Cal. But will people's eyes truly be opened by this? I wonder.
