God Bless Abraham Lincoln. Truly a fascinating man who persevered though surrounded by a series of incompetents and idiots for much of the Civil War, especially in the early days.

There was once a republican with common sense and an honest character.

And there can be one again. I think everything hinges on the next two years. Let's see if the Republican's get their heads out of their asses with the Tea Party folks breathing down their necks. Yes, that is HOPE coming from me. Don't get used it. I do it in honor of Brother Lincoln

Cal - It's funny. I've made amazingly similar statements elsewhere over the past couple of months - but with Polar Opposite intent :)

So you are a 'burn it all down and start from dirt' kind of guy?

Don't rub it in, Canuck.

I post because I love.

Nope. Not at this point, at any rate. I'm just as disgusted with the Republicans as you are.

Its just interesting to me that we both get pissed at them, but for very different reasons. You would like them to be more Progressive/Liberal (I assume), and they get in trouble with me for leaning too far that direction as it is.

I would imagine that neither one of us will be entirely satisfied with whatever they do :)

I really get chaffed at the lack of EFFORT they (Republicans) seem to be putting into solving the country's problems when they put politics before action. Get on Obama all you want (and I have spoken ill of him too) but at least the man is trying to make things better for y'all. I would like to see a democratic house and senate with the WILL Republicans seem to have with getting shit done. The wimpy spinelessness and the inabilty of Democrats to frame/sell their ideas to the populace annoys me. The Republicans lie their asses off but they sure know how to gather support for those lies. It's the only thing I admired about Bush 2 - he may have done some terrible things but he got what he wanted from the congress.

It all boils down to the color of Obama's skin. Any conservative who says it isn't about that, is either lying or blind.
How else can this outpouring of hate and blame (for nothing) be explained? The man hasn't been able to do much because of the huge pile of crap he stepped into by getting elected. I don't have to tell you who left that crap sitting around.

I totally believe that too Pat. It may be bad reasoning on my part but I listen to the Alan Colmes show most nights when I am online and he takes alot of calls, most of them from conservatives who are alway against Obama. They repeat back the same Republican talking points that they have heard from guys like tub o' shit Rush Limbaugh (who calls the President - Barack the magic negro and gets away with it). The racism of these callers is overt at the best of times but even those who try to hide it can't help but come across bigotted. I am sure that many conservatives don't feel that way and may have even voted for Barack because he is black but that element of those who hate him for his color is a strong majority in that group.
