Lily is a Great Dane that has been blind since a bizarre medical condition required that she have both eyes removed. For the last 5 years, Maddison, another Great Dane, has been her sight. The two are, of course, inseparable.

I love Danes, but seven year average life-span is hard and too sad.
I was touched by this. My son-in-law's family had some cows and one was blind. The other cows always helped the blind one get home from the pasture.
There are a few other pictures but they broke my heart. My old kitty is pretty blind and I think he has some kind of Alzheimer where he just sits or stands in one place and doesn't move for ten minute or more.
I always remember the kitty who attacked an intruder that tried to break into her home. She knew the house so well that she knew when to dive at his face with her claws. She cut him bad, he ran, got caught. Blind cat.
