Getting your own turkey dinner was a lot tougher back then. The 'turkeys' tended to fight back.
Today you just peel back the foil and say grace. And why do all the fathers in these old timey ads look like they are ready to kill their whole family. Something not right about that smile. I've watched enough 'Dexter' to know.

Probably because he was forced into family life by a society who didn't truly understand his real needs & wants!

We had our Thankgiving back in OCTORBER when it should be. I think that man is thinking of the love only another man could give him.
He does look creepy. There were a lot of secret lives in the fifties.
Kyna still thinks the turkeys fight back. Bet she is ordering take out for U.S. Thanksgiving. I say this because my two are butterflied and in the brine for tomorrow.
