Damn, I Would Steal This Right From It's Case In The Museum

Finger Ring of King Akhenaten and Queen Nefertiti, New Kingdom, Amarna Period Dynasty: Dynasty 18 Reign of Akhenaten, ca. 1353–1323 B.C., The Metropolitan Museum

Pharoah Amenhotep IV (Akhenaten) was thought of as a heretic because of the way he drastically altered the Ancient Egyptian religion by changing it from polytheistic (many gods) to monotheistic (one god). In the fifth year of his reign he changed his name and exclusively gave worship to the Sun God Aten. After his death all his reforms were gradually removed and all record of his time was removed from temples and writing so we know very little about him compared with other leaders of those ancient times. There is also much controversy as to whether he and Nefertiti were one person. He is often depicted naturalistic with androgynous features and wide hips, like the way females were often shown on wall carvings and statues.

What's with the giant rabbit on that ring and plaque? Maybe he was Donnie Darko, not Nefertiti.
