World War Z Trailer

Why do I get the feeling that this is what it's like around the Pitt/Joli house and the movie is based on Brad just wanting to get away from all the kids?

I'm a bit skeptical about this film. 1) No close ups of the zombies. 2) The story we get the trailer to very different from the one we get in the book.

The book featured interviews with a variety of people from all over the world discussing the effects and aftermath of the zombie uprising. It covered a number of different angles, how things like economics and military strategy would change it the wake of such an event, but a lot of it was just stories of survival after the fact.

I understand that those are ideas that might not adapt to film very well, but this looks so different from the source material and more like a prequel to "I Am Legend" to the point were I wonder whats the point in keeping the title.

Between this and "Warm Bodies" it looks like Zombies may be experiencing a comeback in theaters.

How is this movie different from the other zombie movies?

This looks like another Hollywood hack bastardization of yet one more great work of fiction. This is dumbed down at an insulting level. I'm writing a post on this tonight. To quote someone one youtube: "This made me so mad that if I got pulled over the cop would say, 'do you know how mad you were going?'."

Weird movie I guess. Maybe they made by two authors or something from different worlds. That's why they don't have similarities.

I am REALLY happy now that I left this WWZ one on the shelf and choose to read yet another story about the creation of Superman and how Simon and Schster got screwed. I do like the rolling zombie or the ones climbing the wall. That is freaky scary.

KALLLL NO! YOu just confirmed my fears! Don't let for a single second let this make you think anything of the book. The book is one of the best works of historical/science/monster/pandemic fiction you'll ever read...absolutely chilling and realistic as hell. You won't be able to put it down.

I will read the book. I will see the movie...but I don't like the Horde as a tidalwave effect...seems unreal to me. ( as real as a Zombie film is expected to be anyway. )
