This is such a great comedy. Few movies make me laugh out loud like this one does. Allison Janney (The West Wing) should have won something for her performance in this film but comedy never gets awards. She totally steals the show as Kirsten Dunst's boozy mother's best friend. There are some spoilers here so avoid the video if you haven't seen the movie yet.

Oh I could go on and on with quotes from this movie. It is so good. One of my favorites for sure. Ellen Barkin and Allison Janney are hilarious. It is just the best.
Lisa Swenson's Father: I hope it was worth it.
Lisa Swenson: Dad, it was worth it. Amber shoulda won.
Lisa Swenson's Father: Yeah, well, I'll tell you one thing, Peter never would have pulled a shenanigan like this.
Lisa Swenson: Well, you know what, Dad? You know what? Peter's gay.
[shouts]
Lisa Swenson: GAY!
[she walks off]

Yeah, guys always get out of one-horse towns via hockey scholarships or prison. Truer words were never spoken.
Oh my goodness I am loving this! that part with Lisa Swenson makes me laugh everytime. Oh I am going to have to watch this tonight! I really miss Brittany Murphy.
Lisa- Amber, I'm not gonna win. OK? And let's be honest our family only needs one Liza and Peter's got much better legs than me
Amber- Your parents'll kill ya.
Lisa Swenson- Come on, I love 'em... And you know that they only had me cus Peter needed that kidney
ha ha...I had to pull the film out and watch it again myself. All the times I have seen it and it still makes me laugh.
Britney is another one who deserved an award for this one. It was the movie where I first discovered her.
