Last Class Of The Week

And it's that attitude that kept her from graduating high school. All that was left was for her and Marcy to go into the long haul trucking business.

I like my new class. Lots of good material to work with. They have been turning in some nice writing assignments and doing pretty well on the pretests. We took it easy on them this week so they keep coming back. Next week they get the phonebook sized study guide. It's pretty intimidating so see all those pages so we thought it would be best to ease them into everything.

It's a big change in many of their lives. They have lives and jobs and responsibilities and problems - any one of which can keep them from wanting to be in class for three hours. I admire anyone who puts in the effort and at least TRIES. Failure is okay as long as you TRY.

It's great team teaching with Colin. He does the Math and Science so I don't have to worry about those subjects. I can focus on the Social and Language Arts and work to perfect the writing skills that the students need for the essay portion of the tests.
