Great Season Of Marvel's Agent's Of Shield

This season ended up being one of the greatest ending for a season of genre TV on the Networks in a long time. Sure it took some stunt casting to do it but I still loved it. I haven't see a network do a good superhero show in...well...forever. This one had it's up and downs and could have used with a bit of trimming mid way through the season but everything worked out the way it was suppose to. I am also thankful that they didn't wimp out with Ward and turn him back into some kind of hero in  the end. That would have been a rip-off. The real ending perfectly set up for what I hope will be another great season.

But maybe this time do it in two 13 week blocks that can stand on their own as season. Cables do it all the time and it's a great way to break up a years worth of shows which for some reason in the US is 26 or fewer shows a season - eliminate the filler and concentrate on the action. Doing two complete storylines a season will accomplish that job quite nicely.

But there were also many things that Agents of Shield got right. The fun Easter eggs for Marvel fans and the way that the TV show connected directly to the Marvel Universe on the big screen. Events from Captain America 2 had a direct impact on events in the TV show. It was a nice bit of Universe building and all but insures that we can expect more from Marvel's Television Division.

In fact Agent Carter will be a show next year and that one will be set in WWII and will feature the Howling Commandoes. Plus now Deathlock can be a street level hero with Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Daredevil when their new shows begin appearing on Netflix next year. Deathlock fits perfectly in the Heroes for Hire vein.

i agree, shield was pretty solid for a first season, makes me hopeful for agent carter.
flash looks good too, like the prof. zoom element to keep true to the comics.

I agree with you on the 2 separate seasons a year of 13 episodes... Been saying that since Smallville, where they'd have a TON of filler episodes to fulfill the 22 episode storyline for their year long arc....
