I found this one on EBay of all places. The box is still nice after thirty years and the contents are complete - right down to the unused sticker sheet. It's too bad that no figures nor the Turbocopter come with the Freedom Fighter play set. Now I have more pieces to track down on the cheap. This one I got for about 40 dollars shipped
I love looking through the instruction booklet (included) and know for certain that I have everything that originally came with this set in 1984. Even the sticker sheet is unused which is the way it shall remain. That is something almost never see since most kids in the days couldn't wait to add the stickers, especially the big Captain America Symbol on the landing pad.
The Thundercopter looks great and come with a Captain America who never used such a vehible in the comic book series the Secret Wars Toys sprang out of. The first Cap in this line in lame because they also gave him a hologram shield that only changed the picture when you turned it to a different viewpoint. Very lame.
I have none of these but am on the hunt for any packaged Secret Wars figures. I have several loose ones downstairs but I always kicked myself for not picking more of them up when they were originally on store shelves. But now I have the fun of tracking them down. Stupid collecting bug.
Of course the Holy Grail piece in this line is the Tower Of Doom but to find him in the same complete condition as the piece I just received may be a lost cause.

We would love to have the "Tower of Doom" to display some of my Marvel Villains...
I put on my list to have my metal guy make one....ONE day...
If I knew of such craftmen I would be having them installing glass cabinets to show off my loose figures but also fixing my spinning display cases of my 90s era loose superhero figures, many from the Batman line by Bruce Timm.
Awesome addition Kal congrats on it.
The artist of the images on the packaging of those "Batman, Animated " lived in Monroe just up the road.... He did a cool Joker sketch for me years ago
Very great find! I have a busted tower of doom that is missing most everything, but it is still fun to use as the bad guy base when playing with the kids. The cage still works as a trap. I have lots of loose and tired Secret Wars figures I have picked up at second hand stores over the years.
When I was younger I had a friend whose dad got him all the Secret Wars guys. I always thought the Doctor Octopus was the coolest to play with. His arms had all these attachments that were great to play with
I would like to see pictures of your collection someday.
AWESOME, AWESOME purchase sir..!!
Just to have the boxes in outstanding condition is priceless.
Very envious.
