Daredevil - Episode Two

All the stuff with Matt and his father is breaking my heart. The character never had a bright and sunny childhood but this is tough to watch. However, we can only rise if first we fall and Matt has a lot of falling to do before he rises. Fisk will not treat him or those closest to him so kindly once Daredevil gets on the Kingpin's radar.

I like the way the story flips back to Matt's childhood every once in awhile. It's the kind of thing you can do with a long form TV series like this that you just can't do right in a movie. This may be an origin story but Daredevil proves it doesn't have to be a formulaic one.

That hallway fight scene at the end was epic. If you noticed it was one continuous shot with few if any breaks. The choreography alone reminded me of such fight classics as THE RAID and that is high praise indeed for a television show. Every note of this Daredevil story feels right so far.

I agree. I like how realistic that fight scene was too. People didn't stay down when they got hit. They slowly got back up and tried to fight again.

I'm really enjoying seeing my favourite super-hero on TV . . . and done so well!

That's it. Not ONE PUNCH and then you are out. These are thugs who are used to fighting. Wait until Matt meets up with some Ninjas. THEN the shit will get real.
