There Is No Cool Like The Cool That Is Yul

And if you agree with that then you are my people.

He was extremely cool.

On the other hand he smoked five packs of cigarettes a day, as did Rod Serling, and, like Serling, it's impossible to find a photo of him without a cigarette. (Remember how Serling smoked through the on-camera Twilight Zone intros). And they both died very young.

It's terribly sad. I hate tobacco; I think it's the evil-est force on earth, just beating out Scientology. You pay them to kill you and they spend the money on lawyers, advertising and laboratories that make the product more addictive.

I need to retell the story about how my father gave me a cigarette when I asked for one when I was about six. I got very sick from it but it fixed me from ever smoking in my life. Well, a little Old Toby but that is totally different. I don't puke from a car or club filled with that kind of smoke. But tobacco my body naturally reject, violently.

He was a handsome man alright. I remember him from Westworld too but also The King and I, of course. And some movie about Ukrainian cossacks -- Taras Bulba or something like that.

He was great in everything. I love his whole vibe. If I could be ONE actor it would have been him. I saw him in the King and I once in New York when I was a teen and he was the man.

Do I remember right that, after he knew he had terminal cancer, he did a televised message that put the blame where it belonged: on cigarettes. Brave to the end.

It will break your heart that commercial. He is so sincere and so wishing he could stop the whole world from smoking.
