My first stop (after strangling both Hitler and Trump in their baby cribs) will be the mid-70s where with a couple hundred dollars or less I could own ALL these toys. Many I had and would still have if their weren't on the bottom of the Atlantic right now.
I know it sounds weird but I have been chasing this Hugo all my life. First of all he is the lest repulsive ventriloquist dummy I have ever seen and he comes with all those disguises. As a kid I want to be like Lon Chaney and develop my own monster make-up but I wasn't very good at it. If I had continued that education I would have been one of the first cosplayers.
For a Christmas in the mid-seventies I received this GI JOE sky kite. Both me and my Dad loaded my finest JOE into it and took it to the top of our five story apartment building to launch it. We figured it would fly for a short time and gentle come back to Earth. But the winds and aerodynamics of the toy were perfect that day and all we could do was watch it disappear into the distance. Sure we search with the car and the next day I want on foot into the big field but we never saw it again. I wouldn't be surprised if it's still riding the jet stream today.
