all quite excellent but i'm just inclined to turn my nose at any fan art that includes stuff from the pre-quels unless it's Darth Maul who has to be one of the coolest under used on screen characters of all time.

I'm going to take counter point to you, Shlomo Ben and say even though Maul looks very cool, he isn't that great of a character. He got his ass handed to him by a Padawan, turned crazy cyborg and then got run through by the same guy that handed his ass to him 30 years earlier.

I think the best part of the prequels has got to be Obi-Wan. It shows his entire career as a skeptical youth turned unready teacher to mentor to brother in arms. He took the boy, trained him as best he could and corrected his mistake when he saw Anakin was lost. All the while never actually chosen him to begin with.

He also didn't stand up for Anakin when he could have which only increased Anakin's resentment for the Jedi Order. They CAN be such arrogant buzzkills sometimes.

But he's a fun drunk so it evens out. Plus, Anakin is a punk ass bitch.

Oh yeh. And the actor playing him didn't help that perception one damn bit.

Right?

well j-swin i'm going to counter your counter point. aside from looking bad ass Maul is the first Star Wars character to use a double sided light saber. he took on both Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan at the same time, killed Qi-Gon and had Obi-Wan at his mercy despite Obi-Wan mounting an attack on him fueled with a desire for revenge. it was only Maul's moment of over confidence and the letting down of his guard that did him in but in the end he still proved his skills as a combatant. as for all that coming back after getting cut in half shit in the animated series was just nonsense even within the fictitious Star Wars universe.

I love that I went through all that Maul stuff on Rebels to see Obi Wan take him out in one swing of his light sabre.
