Clash Of The Gods

I really enjoy this series on the History Channel. They tell the tale of some of the great stories of Greek mythology like Theseus and the Minotaur, Perseus and Medusa, Odysseus and Hercules. The storytelling style is riveting and they make an attempt to make real world connections to the old tales. We know that there is an actual labyrinth on Crete, the home of the mythical half man/half bull creature, the Minotaur. However, these connections are not really necessary to hook the viewer. There is a reason these tales are timeless. They speak to the hopes and fears inside all people. I would love to see modern day remakes of all of these and wish a channel like 'HBO' or 'History' would take on the task. 'Showtime' has a great series called 'Spartacus, Blood and Sand' starting in January and it promises to be terrific.
