My Open Letter To The Muslim People

When you are convinced to lose your shit over a stupid movie I can no longer take your or your 'issues' seriously. If you are uninformed enough to allow your leaders to whip you into such a frenzy where you are making trouble in AUSTRALIA, well then you just might deserve the drone attacks that will continue to come your way. You poked the wrong bear and you risk giving power back to the people in the US (the conservative war hawks) who have no problem with bombing your 'civilization' back to the stone age. You want the 'occupiers' out of your territory then maybe you shouldn't do things that only justify (to them) why their continued existence in your lives in necessary. You cannot win this battle with sticks and rocks. It's a shame your own leaders can't stop the criminal acts by those who will only hurt you and your faith in the end.

In the streets of Sydney yesterday Muslims carried banners stating 'Behead all those who insult Muhammad', They fought with police, threw stones, swore and threatened the everyday Australians who brought them here to save their lives and whose tax money educates their children and provides free medical.
We've had enough of their crap.
Muslims do not mix with other religions and as such should not be in our once peaceful country.

Religious fanatics from all religions (mostly muslims and christians) are, in my opinion, clinically insane and should be treated as such. In reality, the world is held hostage by these non-rational people and there's not much to be done.

I still think we should build us our Thunderdome and just drop all these numnuts into it and shut the door behind them.

I feel sorry for you Australians, Tempo, I really do. Maybe it's good if everyone just speak their mind about the Muslims, enough of this PC crap. The world is getting smaller, and "diversity" is obviously something most countries/cultures can't handle.

Still, I can't put the blame 100% on the Muslims (specifically Middle Easterners, I guess?). There's a scene early on in THOR, where Odin says "These are the actions of a few, doomed to fail". Later he pleads with Laufey, King of the Frost Giants, saying "These are the actions of a boy, treat them as such." Now, I have always LOVED these scenes, and I was never exactly sure WHY. Not until recently. I realised that shouldn't THAT have been the attitude when 9/11 happened? The "War on Terror" was nothing but a VAIN war, fueled by the American's ego! It should never have happened! And the "ally" countries shouldn't have backed up the American govt. They committed countless atrocities against "terrorist suspects", and continue a war that defies human rights & against the Geneva Convention. Why do you think tensions are high in the Muslim world? Look what Bush's war did, it changed the whole world. You can't call the Muslims barbarians (which they sometimes are), without calling the Americans a LYNCH MOB. An underground group attacks you, so you decide to wage war on whole COUNTRIES? Where is the logic, here? Asians like me now can't even go to Western countries, without being subjected to a "random check" at the airport. A Brazilian man got shot by London police for looking like a terrorist. Guantanamo Bay. The war was overkill, and it exposed the whole world to hate, which the terrorists use to their advantage.

It's said (and I'm not sure how true this is) that Bin Laden became a terrorist in response to the American govt interfering with Middle Eastern countries. Shouldn't you Westerners be more mindful of what your govt's are doing in foreign countries? So you'd rather protest against Wall Street, but bullying weaker countries is OK?! Canada's PM said that Iran is a threat to "global peace", and what the U.S. are supposed to be the world's guardians/saviors? Is the measures taken against terrorism really logical, or is this just another manifestation of "white man's burden", where we see this as an opportunity to beat some sense into the barbarians and they better like it?

You once said Kal, that you blame the Arabs just as much for the conflict between Israel & Palestine, because they put the Palestinians in such a terrible position. Well, isn't this sorta the same? The world's superpower bullies weaker countries and breaks international law, so don't they bear just as much responsibility?

That was very well said and I appreciate you saying it. The Western nations need to get out of the area and stop giving those governments a strawman to plan all their people's troubles on. It doesn't help that our culture seduces their youth which can only lead to the generational conflicts that are also not good for anyone. I am glad that Canada tries a different approach than the bullies to the south of us. It's so strange to sit here and watch everything happen and feeling helpless to stop it. I am sorry if my frustration causes me to go off like I do.

No, no I LOVE hearing your opinions, Kal! It's only because I'm a big fan of your blog and that I respect your opinions, that I bothered posting my long-winded comment. Also, I'm sorry my rant was overly long.

I appreciate that Western countries let immigrants (including these ungrateful Muslims) take advantage of their freedom and civil rights, things that took them a LONG time to fight for.

Still, as the world gets smaller, we have to be very, very careful with how our govt's interact with other countries. *sigh* Maybe it's the "hippie" in me, but I hate violence & war, and I feel the War on Terror was bad for the whole world. It's been 11 years now, and we're still seeing the global effects, huh?

The 'War on Terror' like the 'War on Drugs' is just a slogan for fundraising. Maybe all this social media will unite the world in a way that the politicians can't stop...but we all know it's gonna get alot worse before it gets better.

Generally I'd stay out of a politically driven forum such as this. But...In the comments section I read something that touched a nerve. So I'll put it this way in rebut.
You know when you have a car and you drive it for a while and you don't do the proper preventitive maintenance on it for a long period of time...then you loan it to someone and the engine goes kablooey on the poor unsuspecting borrower of ye said auotomobile? Well you automatically blame the poor unsuspecting borrower of the car when in actuality it was your ignorance that lead to the engine blowing. The engine would have blown no matter who was driving the car.
Thats my point. It's not Bush's war...it never was. The terrorist attack would have occurred no matter which President was in office. Was Bush a Bozo? Yeah...he's a Bozo...did he send in troops to falsely investigate WMD's? Yes he did...after the attacks occurred he gave fair warning turn in the perpetrators and surrender your weapons or we're coming in. Well the troops went in. WHY? why did Bush do that...why so obvious a lie...answer...we needed a base of operations. We had to put ourselves in the eye of the storm. We used their soil and overturned Saddam ( leading to his death ) it's that simple...with that secured we had ample room ,time and space to eventually find Osama...which we did...and a new President was in office at the time...but in case I did not make myself clear. It does not matter who the President was at the time. The people behind the scenes were instrumental in accomplishing that. Bush and Obama were not the masterminds behind the war games...they just gave the go. They're not responsible for the expert strategic chess game know as WAR.
Stop making this whole thing about that dummy Bush. Don't give him that much credit...he don't deserve it. The attack was going to happen either way...Bush just happened to be in office at the time.
That's my point. There are things in this world going on that are actually beyond everyones conspiracy theories. No matter how elaborate. Then there are some things that are much , much simpler.
This war is thousands of years old. Bush aint that old.

Well its so easy to blast the U.S. But people forget...the Holy war of terror is an ancient one. Part of the evil plot was to cause dissent. Which they accomplished... But... There is never an excuse for the type of behavior they exhibit.
We cant bomb the entire country...so the choice to go in and handle things manually was necessary. Other countries hate us for that. Remember how much trouble the Brits had in the early 20th century? I blame them for everything after.. Lol
