Oh Sara, You Suck

I find it hilarious that anyone who Sarah Palin endorsed in the US midterm elections fell to defeat. The 'thrilla from Wasilla' spent an enormous amount of her political capital for nothing. How bad is it when a woman with the name Murkowski, as a write in candidate, looks to be winning in Alaska, Palin's home state? So much for Sarah being a king and queen maker. The only sad part about this is that Palin will probably not run for President again which will only deprive us of years of satire.

Sarah sure generates lots of buzz, doesn't she? People either love her, or hate her. I miss Tina Fey's imitation on SNL... that was pretty damned funny :)

I don't know if I want her to run in 2012 or not. That will depend on a couple of things. I do like that she is an upbeat conservative not afraid to speak her mind.

Her endorsements during the midterms were actually quite a bit better than you claim, though, Cal.

Palin's bottom-line, though, had Tuesday night as a win for her. In races called, her backed candidates won 37 of 52 House contests. She backed seven victorious gubernatorial candidates. In the Senate, she went six for 10 in races.

On the other hand, there was a campaigner that didn't do as well as many might have hoped:

"Just ask Jon Corzine, Creigh Deeds, or Martha Coakley – Democrats whose bids for office or re-election failed despite the president's endorsements and campaign appearances.

Just ask Arlen Specter, a five-term U.S. senator who switched from Republican to Democrat last year in hopes of keeping his Pennsylvania seat. On Tuesday, he became the fourth Democrat in seven months to lose a high-profile race despite Obama's endorsement and active involvement, raising doubts about the president's ability to help fellow Democrats in November."

Call me crazy, but I hope she sticks around. I kind of like her whole "sexy librarian" look.
