Quote Of The Day - Tennessee Williams

"I have always been more interested in my kind of people - people that have to fight for their reason. People whose day to day, night to night existence is hard. People that come close to cracking. Those are my kind. Those are my people and I must write about what I know." - Tennessee Williams

I have been watching the movies made from the plays written by this damaged genius all week. Some of the greatest acting performances have come from reciting his words. The man knew crazy and the damage that it can do to family and relationships. Of course I am a big fan.

Cat on a Hot Tin Roof with Elizabeth Taylor and Paul Newman is in my Top 5 all time favorites. Even if they took out most the homosexual subtext that was in the original play, its still an amazing film.

One of my favorites too. I love Burl Ives as Big Daddy.
