Too Much Ink?
I see these pictures all the time and I can’t help but imagine what these girls will look like as elderly woman. I suspect it won’t seem so rebellious a thing to have done when they have a bit more life experience. It’s beautiful to look at now but it is so permanent a decision to make.
My father had some cool tattoos. One was a python wrapped around the black panther it was fighting. They never inspired me though to get a tattoo myself. I guess like X-Box and PlayStation gaming systems, it was a trend that came to late for me. I was already in my 30s when every kid and his monkey were getting ink done. Before the time when shows like L.A. Ink made tattoos hip again - more mainstream.
I can appreciate a nice design though. As long as it's not that barb wire look or a tramp stamp. Those have been done to DEATH. Mila Kunus' character in 'Black Swan' had wings on her shoulder blades. I thought that was very cool - and those can be hidden if the person wants to apply for a job where they will be on display. It's strange how so few companies will hire a guy with a snake tattoo on his face. Go figure.

Theres a fine line between a nice cool tat and awful crap..it seems to have a little to do with whether you're pissed or not when you have it done. I dont have any...ugly enough without
Ditto what Tempo said, although I do have one tat myself on my back. Its a picture that I drew in highschool and carried around with me with the idea of getting it inked someday. I had it done on my back when I was in my 30's.
I like much of the art of tattooing, but I also question the wisdom of so many people having full-on body panels (sleeves, torso, etc.). Potential for alot of weird when that group ages.
I so agree with you on this. I think a lot of people will end up regretting what they did to their body when they're older.
A tatoo is a very serious decision. I love to see a well designed tatoo and hate to see the ugly ones. I haven't got one, mainly because I'd have to stop being a blood donor if I had one (it's the law in México).
It's such a recent phenomenon to see so many people with large amounts of their bodies covered with tattoos. A whole generation will age with that look. Facinates me. Someone should do a book about it in about 40 years. Why they made the decision to adorn their bodies this way in the first place and how it impacted their lives (negatively or positively) over the subsequent years.
youre a fucking dumbass if you think that woman or anyone else gets tattoos to be "rebellious"
