Oh China, Stay Classy


The keyrings began appearing on the streets of China early last year,according to Radio 86. The website quoted radio host and reporter John Artman as saying that the sales are “indicative of where Chinese culture is right now.” He added that the vendors typically hail from rural areas and thus have a different mentality than city dwellers.

“So their way of looking at it is going to be very much different (from) ours, regarding both the sellers and buyers,” he said.

Oddity Central reported that the keychains are largely being sold at subway entrances and train stations and are considered good-luck charms.

Not all that lucky for the fish, is it?
