This Is My Second Auction On Kijiji And EBay
It's a bit of a learning curve to get everything set up and figure out the shipping but it's giving me a project to do while helping my Mother downsize the house.

I don't know anything about Kijiji but I think you're possible playing a dangerous game listing the same lot of toys on two sites. What happens if people bid on both? Or am I missing something and you have two sets and you're testing the waters to see which site gets the most interest?
Good luck on eBay, Cal! Why is your Mom downsizing? Is she planning on moving to a smaller place like a condo or a retirement home?
It's a process Debra. I thought I could put the stuff up on multiple sights and it's first come first serve. If someone can BUY IT NOW then lets get the business done. It's definitely a learning curve but I can learn anything. I was often the smartest boy in the room. Is there some law against putting the same set on multiple sights??
At least I will have a post about these experiences. I could write an article on the whole adventure into the online toy world. I should put it on my facebook group too.
As for Mom I am hoping to set her on an ice flow and them come back home and put my feet up without all her junk around. No to be fair she has some nice porcelain pieces that I have loved since I was a kid.
I guess as Kijiji doesn't appear to be an auction site, but rather just a "this is the price, buy it now" affair you'll be okay. But I know eBay buyers can get a bit shirty if they bid on something and it's suddenly removed from the site.
Tim's right, Cal. If you do a Buy it Now on both sites, it's fine. First buyer wins (just be sure to remember to end the listing on the other site.) I wonder, though, if you are going to be paying two listing fees by doing this, which could needlessly cut into your profit. ebay gets you at the front and back end, remember. (Some people combat this by adding a lil extra to the shipping and handling charge to cover some of the listing fee. But remember that when people decide how much to pay, they are very aware of what you are asking fro shipping and they are thinking total cost in determining their maximum bid, so don't go crazy with it. I saw a guy the other day selling some cards I want, but he wants 9 DOLLARS to ship four cards, which shouldn't cost more than a buck, depending on how much protection you put in the envelope -- so that guy lost a sale.)
I appreciate all this stuff Jester. It's a fun process so far. Wait until I sell something and get my price. I found a store in town that is begging for my graphic novels to sell. So doing things in many way will give me a story to write on selling collectibles using many different methods. I think there would be interest out there. I might call you for some quotes.
