Answer Me This

 
I am wondering if anyone would be interested in purchasing a run of 80s Iron Man comics in VF condition. I will do research to come to a fair price. Is it worth the effort. I thought of doing runs of ten, fifteen or twenty continuous issues. Would that be a good idea or do you have another suggestion. I would also sell individual issues but only key issues in a character's run. I would like to offer some nice continuity with these runs. I chose Iron Man for this first forey because I got to his box first. About ten years ago I separated my collection by characters so going through my collection is not that much of a terrible onerous chore. I welcome any comments. If you have wish lists yourselves, just ask. I might have what you are looking for. I have most everything you can think of from 1980 to 2000.

Personally, I'd start by trying to sell the whole lot as a single collection.

If that doesn't work, break it down into runs as you said.

That is 12000 book though. I don't think I would get a price better than I could by breaking it up. It will be another think I will be researching so thank you for your advice. Why would you sell it as a single collection

Sorry, didn't make myself clear (that's what comes of going online in the middle of the night when stricken with insomnia).

I meant try and sell all the Iron Man titles as one a single lot - and the same tactic for the other titles. If someone wants a long run of titles they won't want issues - or chunks of stories - missing from the middle of the run.

If that doesn't work, THEN split them up into smaller bundles (story arcs?) and try again.

AAAAAHHHHH...now that is GENIUS. But I think I want to pull out some of MY favorites to save and for Iron Man that's a cool run where he fights other Ironed characters but their motif is chess pieces. I would have to look up the number but I remember loving that story. The enemy was Roxxon Oil as usual.

But other runs I could put together is a nice little lot. Price it and see who has an interest. This is like a test to see if the concept is solid.
