This is clearly the best speech I have ever seen her give. Why do I feel she doesn't believe a word of it.

Her lameness and insincerity comes thru, even in her 'best' speech....you can almost see the teleprompter in her glasses. And Jewish folks are not happy she used the term blood libel. I admit, I couldn't watch it all the way through.

She chose to use the term 'blood libel' when she could have just used 'libel'. Even at this point she couldn't resist the temptation to show her true belief.

For you who think I am unfair pulling one term or phrase out of context remember that the other side does that ALL THE TIME.

How does it feel to have your own tactics working against you.

Oh and as for the telepromter? Why is it okay when Sarah uses it and not when Obama does? Just asking.

There is not an ounce of sincerity in her voice. Plus, her makeup is too perfect, but her bangs keep swishing from side to side.
Interesting about "blood libel." As a Jew, I'm not offended. I don't know why my peeps would be. It just struck me as a term that her speech writer (clearly, someone much more intelligent than she) came up with. I think it's appropriate in this context.

What is 'blood libel' I could look it up but I would like to hear it from you. Why do you feel it's appropriate to use it in this case?

Damn Sarah Palin. I always have to look up stupid words they say. I admit I didn't know what 'teabagging' was when I first heard that term.

1) [A notorious Bible verse, Matthew 27:25,] taken by Christians for centuries to indicate that the Jewish people as a whole and for perpetuity bore direct responsibility for the crucifixion and were therefore fair game for persecution and extermination.
2) A false accusation or claim that religious minorities, almost always Jews, murder children to use their blood in certain aspects of their religious rituals and holidays. Historically, these claims have-alongside those of well poisoning and host desecration-been a major theme in European persecution of Jews. The libels typically allege that Jews require human blood for the baking of matzos for Passover

So Palin states that "'acts of monsterous criminality stand on their own, they begin and end with the criminals who commit them." So Ice-T, the Heavy Metal music industry and the makers of Dungeons and Dragons are off the hook for inspiring "evil acts." You know I hate to go all "Glenn Beck" here but couldn't the same be said for acts of the nazis, maybe Hitler just inspired them...

The last thing I want to hear right now is someone using the 'well they do it too' excuse. It's reprehensible for her to deny responsiblity, however small, for exaserbating the climate of hatred and fear that she had a large part in increasing.

She is one who is critical of others without offering up her own solutions. She will say and do anything to defect any blame from herself and her rhetoric. She is part of the problem but will never see that in herself or admit it to the rest of us. If she did, then maybe we could forgive her. As it is now, I will never do that.

She has to go. Perception is everything. She is your poster child. For the good or your party, your movement and America, you can't reputiate her fast enough. She sowed the seeds. Time to reap the whilrwind.

Okay, thanks guys. I'm the stupid one here (besides Sarah). I was assuming "blood libel" referred to the violent deaths that were supposedly caused because of libel (all the bipartisan bickering/slander). I guess I was interpreting it literally, not in historical or Biblical context. I didn't listen to her whole speech either. Thanks for the clarification. In this case, I am offended by her even moreso. I stand corrected. xo
