Because She's The PRINCESS Of Gemworld
Thanks to Mike for sending me information on this one. He knows my love for this character goes deep and would never expose the truth about who REALLY is the lost princess of Gemworld.

I confess when I first saw the character years back, I'd initially dismissed her as being "too '80s".
However, after the underwhelming reboot I'm interested in seeing new or lesser known characters take the spotlight. I think a revival could be an asset for the company, especially when it comes to diversifying their genre offerings.
The original came out at a time when you could collect the complete story in 12 parts and you had to go to the speciality comic store to have the guy save you a copy in your pull list. I loved that whole time period in my collecting life and I want to see if the creators of this new Amythyst are coming from my world.
