Dragons - Gift Of The Night Fury

Why didn't anyone tell me there was a TV series based on the movie 'How To Train Your Dragon'? Because they gave it a name like Defenders of Berk. It's still a very well done show with terrific animation and vocal acting. It's worth your time. The show has a lot of heart just like the movie.

You didn't know? Well now I feel really guilty for not mentioning it before. Maybe I neglected it because its a Dreamworks movie tie-in show, and while I thought the episodes I saw had some good writing, it was a bit of a tough sell to go straight from the movie to the series were the animation with much different. Granted this show's visual quality is much higher than the "Monsters vs Aliens" show and about on par with the "Kung Fu Panda" series. I'm just kind of a snob like that.

I'm sure a TV Holiday tie in special will get the necessary budget to win me over and maybe pull me back in so I can play catch up in time for the sequel.

I thought 'How You Train Your Dragon' was on of the greatest animated movies of all time...no talking animals, no singing, and a dragon in Toothless who can express everything he needs to with his eyes. I thought this episode was a one-off and then I see 'Dragons - Defenders of Berk' is into it's second season. I hope it does live up to the cool that is Kung Fu Panda. DreamWorks is doing some good TV shows these days. I have just started watching Monsters vs Aliens show, something else I just found out about. I am feeling like an old man or Kirk when Khan almost took him out - feel like I am getting old. I once knew EVERYTHING that was out there even though I never watched the show.
