So Then That Happened

I did the interview. I thought I came off as myself. It felt like going for a job and in those situations I just try to tell a story. I told a story and now it's up to them. Regardless, I have been thinking alot about my collection lately and about how lucky I am to be able to fashion my life around the things that make me happy. In my case that happens to be my toys, my cat, my blog and my quiet life. Life is a lot harder for most everyone else and I need to remember that. I was happy to get to talk about my dad and how much he loved going out at Christmas or my birthday to look for figures. I see him everytime I look at the collection.

Sweet! If you can, let us know what show will air and when, I would love to be able to hear you husky voice!

I don't see it ever happening. The girl was really nervous and asked basic questions. Not a collector. I felt weird sometimes. Like describing something to someone who doesn't get why you like it. Damn, I AM the giant baby guy.

That seems a bit odd. You'd think they'd get someone experienced in collectables or antiquities to do a show like this.

I know right. We are coming at this thing from two different angles. Natasha Eloi at least liked toys and knew toys. She had a great little show on SPACE about people's collections. That is what I imagined. I think they just want the freak factor which is fine, just not for me.

You may be too nice and sympathetic a person for TV, but I'll still keep my fingers crossed. I'd love to see you on a show.

Who wouldn't love to see me humiliated? I would watch that show.

What humiliated? I just think it'd be cool to hear you talk about your collection. We get to read little pieces; catch glimpses. To see you actually hold up a piece and explain it's significance would be killer.

I would pay money to see that show. Seriously. Forget humiliation. You'd be awesome, and I try not to use that word often. I'm glad you did the interview. Cheers.

Hey, if they go with you -- that's great! Exposure and notoriety (not quite fame and fortune, but still...)

If they don't go with you -- that's great! You won't be lumped ion with the diaper man.

Win - win!

I agree that your collection is probably tailor made for SPACE, but if Natasha Eloi won't do it then Someone should come to your house with a video camera, record your collection and you talking about it and post it up on youtube.

Maybe I should get a video camera before I come visit.

I like that idea. I can make it a whole production.
