Then there is this toy. Yes it is real. That is the Mighty Thor on a pink scooter - a broken pink scooter on top of that. How this ever got by the boys in toy development is a story I simply must hear one day. Hakes, the premiere auction house for finding pop culture collectibles has this one for sale in their latest sale/auction. What is written in their catalogue:
6x8-3/8" blister card contains 4.25" long plastic figure of Thor riding pink scooter. ©1968 Marvel Comics Group. This toy was issued in an illustrated box as well as on a blister card as offered here. Card shows scattered handling w/corner tip wear and surface paper lift at lower left corner, though blister remains affixed to card. Fine overall w/original Kresge store price stickers. Thor Scooter has right handlebar missing as factory-issued as blister remains completely sealed and piece is not loose within. This issue is not at all noticeable when viewed straight on and piece remains nice for display. Rare toy, even more rare in this packaging, as this is the only carded Thor known to us. The only boxed example we have ever offered sold for $2,530, while the last loose scooter we offered (Spider-Man) sold for $1,380. (K/L - $1000 to $5000)
Currently at 600 dollars

wow, that thor is cool... on the pinky scooter.
My new exclamation is going to be "Great Thor on a Scooter!"
A Dark Crystal game. Haven't seen one of those for a while. And a Rom thrown in for good measure.
That Rom is one of my holy grail figures. He was a serious electronic toy in his day.
Yes, there's one of those POTA rifles with the cheap mask. As I posted months ago, it was the only way to clean out a huge warehouse of old toy rifles when all the 'anti-war toy' folks were looking for targets to shame for advocating violence in kids.
Package it with an Apes mask and watch 'em fly off the shelves.
VERY clever.
AND a must have collectible for any APES fan.
Love the Alpha Flight grouping! My friend asked the other day if that Thor on a pink scooter was real!
It's real and real rare. The latest Hakes catalogue is very cool. You should go to their site and order them. They come free to you each time they hold a new auction. I may not buy but the quality of the book is great for research.
