Y'all Got Yourselves An Ape Problem
Now where do you suppose all those monkeys got all those guns?? OOOPS. Poorly stored firearms and ammunition kill more post plague humans than any other. Lock up your guns, people! Until of course you need to them to repel an invasion of horse riding apes. Then by all means, fire away.

We would have possibly "helped" to "arm" them.... results would be "very interesting"....
Hopefully like the human apes you would never be sure when they would turn on you, however.
It's like the US and the Taliban all over again.
