You Humans And Your Thrill Rides

A design for a thrill ride appeared in the December 1919 issue of Electrical Experimenter magazine. Honestly, this is the kind of thing 12-year-old boys draw on their notebook covers during class. Riders would board a capsule, which would be loaded and shot out of a cannon, which they call the “electric gun.” If you’re lucky, the capsule would land in a tower that was also a fountain. Then the capsule would then zip down a water slide into a lake, where it would be pulled back to the starting point by a conveyor belt. What could possibly go wrong?

This is how you get yourself hurt.
