I have to give a big shout out to my Japanese brothers and sisters. They really have developed the right attitude about the cephalopods across their entire culture. To them these freakin' things are not cute or exotic, they are lunch meat. That country has so many octopus based products that it's a joy just to go through the aisles of one of their grocery stores just to get a look at all the cans and packages with a picture of these tentacles bastards on them.
