Maleev Debuts Doctor Doom's "Infamous Iron Man" Armor Concept Art

I am in love with the idea of DOOM being the next incarnation of Iron Man but I think I hate this new design. DOOM is one of those characters that hasn't changed his look in 50 years for a reason. It's perfect. It's timeless. It's iconic. He is practically for all intents and purposes already a guy in a iron suit and I really don't see DOOM being the kind to care about updating his look. He is more of a traditionalist. He likes the way he dresses and sees no need to change. Plus why do you need the cloak if you are in a suit of armor that flies? I just see it being a nuisance and impairing your vision at just the worst time.

In a pair of tweets, Maleev revealed that Doom's "infamous" Iron Man will eschew the colorful hues of his predecessor for a matte-finished grey, with a shiny, chromed faceplate. Additionally, it would appear Doom will once again wear his traditional hooded cape, albeit one that appears to be more of a dark gray than the green he's known for.
