Who Said Stalin Didn't Think Of The Children?

 
This is an actual illustration showing impoverished Russian children how to make a toy out of several potatoes. This might be the saddest thing I have ever seen.

When I was small... many little girls had a doll made from a dried ear of corn...the "silk" was her "hair... and the leaves, encasing the ear of corn were often folded and sewn... yes, as a small child in the rural South saw Many "make-shift" Toys (more often than not the parents could not afford to buy their child Toys...
