I know that some of you will argue with me and say that 'he created Deadpool'. Yes, he came up with the look of the character (which is basically Spider-Man with guns) but all that great personality stuff that you love NOW was created by others who used the character long after the Idiot Liefeld took his leave from Marvel Comics. Liefeld is a hack.

He created Cable too, who exemplifies every single one of these characteristics and clearly was the blueprint for all that came after. I'm often amazed at how successful Cable was as a character since, IMO, unlike Deadpool, he never really seemed to develop beyond what Liefield made him -- just a cyborg with MASSIVE biceps, a tiny head, and guns that he would need a crane to lift.
And I'm glad it mentions the name thing!! Liefield's artistic and anatomical sins are well documented, but the name thing has always really bugged me! Does he just open a dictionary, close his eyes and drop his finger one a word and that then becomes the character's name? Most make NO sense!!
I feel the venom dripping off you and it warms my heart. Cable is useless as well. Such a mess of a history. I cant' believe I ever bought those X-force comics in the first place but I did.
Cable was only good in one story and that was the whole thing where he took Hope Summers into the past and actually died saving her at the end of that adventure. At least he didn't die like a punk because he was born one.
Exactly! It boggles the mind! All those X-Force stories, plus over a hundred issues of his own original series, solo stories in Marvel Comics Presents, the team up book with Deadpool, then another solo series ... and all that time he was a one-trick pony. Meanwhile, more deserving characters get cancelled after 50 or fewer issues. How does that happen?
And do NOT even get me STARTED on PROPHET!! Stupid name for a stupid character! And what the hell is that thing on his/her head?? A sausage? Shitty design indeed!
