Now This Is A Faith I Can Believe In

Star Wars seems to be more powerful than we have ever imagined. Move over Christianity, Buddhism, Islam and all you other mainstream excuses to live like you know what's what. The 'force' is starting to replace 'faith'. I know what you are wondering 'What would God Jedi's lightsaber color be?'

"Today's Census figures show that 176,632 people in England and Wales identify themselves as Jedi Knights, making it the most popular faith in the "Other Religions" category on the Census and the seventh most popular faith overall."

Trivia: The second place most popular alternative religion is Heavy Metal.

"For over a thousand generations the Jedi Knights were the guardians of peace and justice in the Old Republic. Before the dark times. Before the Empire." - Obi-Wan Kenobi

As good a religion as any.

I don't understand this at all. I mean, they know George Lucas made it all up, right?

Yes, but every stupid religion is made up and this one has Light Sabers.

But the people who believe in them don't think of them as made up; they think they're true -- they have faith and think they're the word of God (or equivalent). When you tell a Christian that it's all made up, he/she disagrees with you. Even Scientology fits this description. But in the case of Star Wars it's clearly made up; the guy who made it up says he made it up. I mean, this is obvious, right? It doesn't make any sense; it's insane.

Kill him! Kill the unbeliever! to quote Monty Python's Life of Brian. I'm not suggesting anything else, Jordan.

Maybe 2000 years from now Obi-Wan will be the lastest Christ like figure.
