Warren The Ape

MTV may not play music videos anymore and they may put out dreck like 'The Hills' and 'Jersey Shore' but they totally found a winner with their new show - 'Warren the Ape'.

If you remember the puppet/human show 'Greg the Bunny' which lasted for ten episodes on Fox a few years ago you will remember Warren. He was part of the kid's show 'Sweet Knuckle Junction' but as a trained thespian he felt he was above being on a children's show and it showed. A hard swearing, hard drinking and hard lovin' puppet, Warren once showed his displeasure with a new producer by peeing into her car through her open sun roof.

So in this spin-off, Warren is trying to clean up his act. Every show opens with his sessions with Dr. Drew, the famous celebrity rehab doctor. The rest of the episode finds Warren trying but failing to clean up his act.

The whole this is deliciously crude but hilariously funny. Something about this anti-Muppet brings out the giggles in me. I love how Warren seems clueless about everything and how his evil action tend to come right back to him full force. He is a loser but thinks he is better than everyone else. It's a good show.

I like that they bring back several of Warren's 'Greg the Bunny' co-stars like sweet and gentle Greg himself and Seth Green who was Greg's best friend and roomie and who hated Warren.

It's the same voices and the same tone as GtB so I think you will.

I was about to scream that we need more Nikki Cox, but then I realized I was getting Greg the Bunny with Unhappily Never After.
